Asheville City Schools

Asheville, NC has many public schools within the city to accommodate the growing population. They have added many state of the art schools led by an exceptional administrative team with qualified, caring teachers and staff. Within all of the Asheville city schools there are 14,991 students. The student to teacher ratio is 12.1:1, allowing for individual attention for the students who need a little extra guidance to achieve their maximum learning ability.

Asheville schools have the rankings to prove their excellence. Asheville city schools are ranked 8th in the state for the number of Board Certified teachers employed in the school system. Asheville schools are ranked 2nd in the state for SAT scores. Asheville city schools are known for winning a number of awards each year, such as the EETT IMPACTing School Leadership Prize. This school system also regularly receives Teacher of the Year awards, and they are often winners of the Western Region Teacher of the Year award.
